dc.description.abstract This study aims to identify and analyze the effect of Organizational Commitment (Affective Commitment, Continuance Commitment, and Normative Commitment) on employee Turnover Intention. Being explanatory research design, the population and sample in this study are Gondar town revenue office the data are collected by survey method using a questionnaire distributed to all six sub-cities including the main office with a total of 203 samples. From the total of 203 employees within the city case in the Gondar town revenue office, a closed-ended questionnaire was distributed for a sample of 201employees selected using the stratified sampling technique which a probability sampling method using convenient is sampling. Where 201 responses were collected and used for final data analysis. The data collected from the questionnaire were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression analysis with the help of IBM's Software Package for Social Science (IBM SPSS Statistic 23). The outcome of the analysis revealed that organizational commitment is positively related to turnover intention. Furthermore, while three dimensions of commitment have a positive relationship to the dependent variable i.e. Turnover intention; continuance commitment was found to have a strong positive relationship with turnover intention while the other two effective and normative commitments had a moderate positive relationship. The study recommends that organizations should emphasize minimizing the high level of turnover intention by engaging and committing the employees for better productivity. en_US
