Abstract:
The main objective of this study was to investigate the effect of conflicts management among
organizational effectiveness in Gondar polytechnic college. The study used Quantitative
research approach with explanatory research design was adopted in carrying out this research.
The study used primary data source and the data collection instrument was structured close
ended survey questionnaires using the five point Likert scale adopted from different scholars in
previous studies. The sample size was 300 respondents using proportionate stratified and simple
random sampling technique was used and 260 questionnaires were filled and returned for the
analysis. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the Statistical Package for
Social Science (SPSS Version 26) tool in order to find the results of descriptive and inferential
statistics analysis easily. The adjusted R squared was found to be 73.7 % of variation in the
dependent variable of organizational effectiveness can be explained by the five independent
variables (competing style, cooperation style, avoiding style, compromising style,
accommodating style). Have significant and positive coefficient of beta values indicating that
they have positive effect on organizational effectiveness in the Gondar polytechnic college under
the study, the study finally concludes by suggesting that all the factors of conflict management
elements have positive relationship with organizational effectiveness.based on the finding of this
study: -Management of Gondar polytechnic college should encourage and promote interpersonal
relationships among co-workers to improve on their morale that create good feeling and
increased positive attitude.Expose employees to organization conflict management through
workshops and seminars time to time for the Employees.Finally, good competition style on the
part of management and employee representatives can be a strategy for preventing un wanted
conflicts.
