Abstract:
Private pharmaceutical wholesalers bear a substantial portion of the responsibility for the careful monitoring of product quality, which is essential to the integrity of the pharmaceutical business. These private pharmaceutical wholesalers are an essential component of the pharmaceutical supply chain, helping to guarantee that pharmaceuticals adhere to strict safety, quality, and efficacy regulations. The objective of this study was to assess the quality management system practice on pharmaceutical supply chain at private pharmaceutical wholesalers in northwest Ethiopia. A descriptive cross sectional study design was employed from May to June 2023 to determine the status of supply chain quality management systems practices of private pharmaceutical wholesalers. The data were entered into Epi-info version 7, and analyzed through SPSS version 27. this finding shows that private wholesalers fulfilled quality management, transportation, facilities, warehouse, personnel, documentation, and supplier qualification greater than 47%, 53%, 59.1%, 45.5%, 40.9%, 62.1%, and 86.4% respectively. The finding of this study concludes that quality management system practices in the private pharmaceutical wholesalers were low
