Abstract
Introduction: Hypertension is the leading cause of cardiovascular disease and the greatest cause of
preventable morbidity and mortality globally. More than 2/3 of patients with hypertension fail to
achieve the goal with monotherapy, so combination therapy has been shown to enhance efficacy
while reducing adverse events.
Objectives:The aim of this study was to compare treatment outcomes of enalapril with
hydrochlorothiazide or amlodipine among hypertensive patients at university of Gondar
comprehensive specialized Hospital.
Methodology:Hospital based retrospective cohort comparative study was employed. Three hundred
