Background:Auditable Pharmaceutical Transactions and Services
However, only a few pieces of evidence have been found on the evaluation of the
implementation status of the new initiative in Ethiopia, particularly in the study
area.Therefore,this study aimed to evaluate the process of Auditable Pharmaceutical
Transactions and Services
Methods: A single case study design with mixed-method was used to evaluate the process of
APTS program. Interviewer administered questionnaires were used to conduct an exit interview
for the satisfaction of 423 clients. Checklist was used to assess the availability and APTS
implementers’ compliance with the standard protocol. Six month documents were reviewed and
5 key informant interviews were conducted. Eighteen indicators were developed and judgment
criteria were set. The quantitative data was entered into EPI-Data version 4.6 and was exported
to SPSS version 25 and analyzed by logistic regression using 95% confidence level and P-value
less than 0.05 was used to identify the associated factors of client satisfaction. Qualitative data
were transcribed, translated, coded, and analyzed using thematic analysis.
