dc.description.abstract Abstract Introduction: vaccination coverage is an important indicator used not only to monitor immunization programs but also to health systems performance at national, sub-national, and global levels, which contribute to reducing the risk of child mortality. In Somaliland 20% of child mortality is caused by vaccine-preventable diseases due to low national immunization coverage Objective: This study was aimed to assess vaccination coverage and associated factors among children aged 12-23 months in Borama District, Awdal region Somaliland 2020. Methods: Community-based cross-sectional study was conducted in Borama District, Awdal region Somaliland to assessed vaccination coverage and associated factors. A stratified sampling technique was used to select 589 mothers/caregivers of children aged 12-23 months. Data were entered into EPI DATA 4.6 and exported to SPSS 20 for further analysis. Binary logistic regression was used and candidate variables with p-value <0.2 in Bivariable analysis were moved to multivariable analysis to identify their significance with dependent variableand variables with p-value < 0.05 were taken as the most significant variables. Result: With 97.7% respondent rate, the finding of the study revealed that 40% percent of children were fully vaccinated while 43% percent were partially and 17% percent were not vaccinated.Being urban residence en_US
