Summary
Introduction
Health information is important at all levels from health post at kebele level up to MoH.
In Ethiopia health information is collected at different level. But the base of health
information which is collected by health extension workers most importantly focus on the
sixteen health extension packages represents the larger portion of population and need
to be accurate, reliable and timeliness. There for to get these accurate, reliable and
timeliness health information we need to identify factors those are the main obstacle to
get quality information.
Objective: - to determine data management practice and associated factors among
health extension workers and identify factors in Awi zone, Ethiopia.
Method: - Institution based cross sectional study will be conducted from January to
march 2016. Cluster sampling will be used to select HEWs. All HEWs in the randomly
selected districts will included in the. Data will be collected by using self-administered
questionnaire and check lists. Data will be entered in to computer with epi info 7 and
exported to SPSS to be analyzed. .
Work plan and cost: -the study needs a total budget of birr 30,976 and expected to be
completed the project will be conducted from February to march 2016.
