dc.description.abstract This studyfocuses on contraceptive and its impact on women’s reproductive rights, inthe case of Gondar city in Ethiopia. The research comprises the major human rights of women’s reproductive healththat are recognized under the various international and regional human right instruments. In reality,women’s reproductive rights are affected due to different reasons. For instance, accessibility of contraceptive depends on the cultural, economic and political contexts of individuals and countries. In relation to this condition mostlyyoung and unmarried people in many communities are not allowed or expected to have sexual relationships before marriage. Having in this fact young people, poorer segments of populations or unmarried people have limited access to contraception, especially in relation to abortion services. The intention of the researcher isassessed that how contraceptive affecting women’s reproductive right as well as what are the merit of contraceptive to respect, protect and promote women’s reproductive right. In addition, the researcher analyzed state obligation to ensure the protection of women’s reproductive right in the time of using contraceptive users in relation to availability and accessibility of contraceptive and information services. The research has been conducted at Gondar city, through qualitative methods,based on subjective assessment of attitudes, opinionsand behavior of research participants. Interview has used as a tool to collect pertinent data. All these has been done in order to effectively address the challenges of the protection of the reproductive right of women’s in the time of using contraceptives in case of Gondar city.Moreover, the researcher has clearly put the result or researchfindings within data analyses and lastly provided the plausible conclusion and recommendation. en_US
