A study was conducted in Lay Armachio Woreda Tikil Denay Town. It was the main objective to
assess History of Animal Husbandery that is cattle rearing and marketing system, to investigate
the animal husbandry problems that are diseases, breeding system, postural system, taxation
system, drought and work on 1974 to 1991. From the District cattle breeding households’
interviewer selected from three kebels through purposive methods. All archival sources are taken
from North Gondar and Tikil Dengay administrative office and Agricultural Archival center.
Most of the Archival materials not easily to found and it is tiered to get as well as much times
lost. The evidences from archival documents, literatures and interviews were crosschecked well
and carefully constructed so as to construct picture historical evidences. To assess both primery
and secondary sources of data were collected a history of animal husbandery qualitative
research methodologies. The description of the methods is presented in the subsequent sub sections in the study areas. To initiate this study daily and yearly appeared Animal chronic
disease and a history of husbandry problems as well as the impact of overgrazing, dense
population increased time to time in the woreda. Agriculture is the most susceptible sector to
climate change related hazards of Animal Husbandery. This is due to the fact that climate
change affects the two most important direct agricultural production inputs and these are
precipitation and temperature variance. |
