Abstract:
The aim of this study was to find out the effect of 12-weekplyometric training on selected fitness
variable in case of Agut U-17 males volleyball project trainees. Quasi-Experimental design was
employed to conduct this study. 25 population were participated in the study by comprehensive
technique. The population were exposed for three months of plyometrictraining that was given
three days per week. The fitness variables: Power, speed, agility and muscular endurance were
tested in the study. SPSS software (version 20) was used for analysis. Mean, Standard deviation,
paired-samples T test were employed to analyze the collected data. The significant level of
p≤0.05 was considered. The result shows after the three months of plyometric training
significant mean change was found in power (4.6, p<0.001), Speed (0.26, p <0.001), agility
(2.29, p<0.002) and muscular endurance (-1.8, p<0.001). In conclusion, the effects of 12 weeks
plyometric training for three months brought significant improvement on power, agility, speed.
And muscular endurance. If the coaches consider plyometric exercise in their training program,
it helps the trainees to improve their agility, power, speed and muscular endurance performance.
