dc.description.abstract Intimate partner violence refers to behavior by an intimate partner or ex-partner that causes physical sexual or psychological harm, including physical aggregation, sexual coercion, and psychological abuse and controlling behaviors. Emotional abuse is a form of interpersonal violence that encompasses all forms of non-physical violence and distress caused by non-verbal and verbal actions. The main purpose of this study is to explore the determinants of Ethiopian men’s Attitudes toward Wife emotional abuse using classical and Bayesian logistic approach. The data source was obtained from the 2016 Ethiopian demographic and health survey about 4720 women aged 15-49 years were included in the survey. To analyze the data descriptive statistics, classical and Bayesian logistic regression analyses were conducted. Out of 4720 women respondents include in the study 3667(77.69%) are not exposed for emotional violence whereas 1053(22.31%) are exposed for emotional violence. The classical and Bayesian logistic regression model result revealed that level of education, smoking cigarette, drinking alcohol, religion, chat chewing, and marital status have significant effect on emotional violence. And also, since the standard error of the estimates from the Bayesian logistic regression is less than the standard error of the estimates the classical regression analysis, so the Bayesian logistic regression model is the best estimation technique en_US
